Hello Family & Friends;This is our first quarterly report of 2012!! For us, December & January brought us extremely cold weather, little snow, and almost NO sun. The days that the sun did shine it was below ZERO out. Who wants to go out in that? Not me! Now, if you watch the news you will know that we are having an extreme Winter. Thank goodness we have a warm home and the great Swiss out keeping the roads safe. It's snowing as I type this and -8 (C) add the wind blowing and it feels like -20 (C).
I'll start out with Megan;
She is growing like weed and becoming more and more beautiful daily. She is half way through her 8th grade year and getting nervous about high school. This Spring she will play a part in the school play, Guys and Dolls. She is a "hot box" girl, still have no clue what that means, but she will be dancing and singing :)
She is also looking forward to Spring because it's softball season!! School is going well and her grades are good; sadly, math & science are her weakness', but she try's her best, and that's all we ask for.
Michael has already started baseball training (indoors) and he too is looking forward to Spring and being outdoors. He's been to every dance at school this year, attended many birthday parties and seems to have a better social life than us! Middle school has been tough for him, but he too does his best. Fifth grade did not prepare him for middle school as far as homework is concerned, but he is still doing good.
They both take German, Mandarin and Michael is taking Spanish!! * Proud Parents * :)
Both the M's just finished up four Sundays of ski lessons. The first and last Sunday were simply gorgeous, the other two Sundays the weather sucked. But they still went out with their instructors and seemed to improved. Michael tried snow boarding this year and he liked it better. He was always soaking wet at the end of the day, not sure if he was ever up for long :)
Cleo is doing well as usual. We think she is part cat because she LOVES to sleep!!
Audie has not been traveling much. Mostly because he is SO busy here and can't be away from the office.
As for me, well if your'e on Facebook than you know... :)
I am taking care of a (almost) 2 year old boy twice a week, taking a 5 week photo course to improve my skills, on the PTA board, and taking lot's of photos along the way.
Not much else is going on. The M's are on a 12 day break right now. It's called Ski Week here. It's a Swiss holiday and everyone leaves and goes skiing as a family.
In April they will be out again for Spring break and before we know it Megan will be graduating into high school, school will be out for Summer and we will be in CA. (fingers crossed)
